How to use & how to read
- All three tables (states, companies, agencies) show every row. Click a column header to sort ascending or descending — for example, sort the companies table by "Federal contracts (total)" to see who has the largest dealings with the government first.
- Type a name into the box above each table to filter rows on the fly (state, company, or agency). Keep just the entities you want to compare side by side.
- Entities are joined only on reliable identifiers (company name, CIK — the SEC company ID, and FIPS — the federal state code) to avoid mismatches. Figures reflect what this site has collected as of the latest fetch, not the full national picture.
