How to read it

• Registered does not mean provenRegistration publishes the study plan; it is not evidence about the result. Efficacy and safety can only be judged once the study completes and reports.
• Interventional and observational studies differAn interventional study assigns a treatment or device and measures the effect; an observational study records what happens without assigning anything. The strength of the conclusions is not the same.
• The phase tells you the questionPhase 1 is mainly safety and dosing, Phase 2 explores efficacy, Phase 3 confirms it against existing care, and Phase 4 follows a product after approval. The phase shows which stage of question the study is answering.
